Man Dies in Rollover Crash in Perris

A man was killed Saturday morning in a fiery, single vehicle rollover crash on the northbound Interstate 215 in Perris.

Firefighters responded about 3 a.m. to the crash that occurred just north of the Highway 74 offramp and pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The vehicle caught fire when it went off the roadway and the victim was trapped inside, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.

The CHP investigated the cause of the crash.
