Man Taken To Hospital After Shooting Involving Deputy in Lancaster

A man, who authorities identified as a suspect, was sent to a hospital Thursday after a shooting involving a deputy in Lancaster, but the sheriff’s department did not immediately say if his injuries were caused by the gunfire.
The shooting occurred about 3:45 p.m. in the 44800 block of Fenhold Street, near the intersection of East Lancaster Boulevard and 13th Street East, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies established a large containment zone, from 12th Street East to 18th Street East and from East Kettering Street to Morven Street, in the area of the shooting, the sheriff’s Lancaster Station said.
Authorities did not release any information about the man’s condition or what led up to the shooting.
