A former Orange County social worker pleaded guilty Monday to sharing child pornography.
Carlos Castillo, 62, of Santa Ana, who worked at Orange County’s Social Services Agency from May 2002 until January 2020, admitted a single count of distribution of child pornography and was set to be sentenced April 19.
Through an online child pornography group, Castillo posted three video files that included the sexual assaults of prepubescent children, including infants and toddlers, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Castillo admitted he possessed 1,027 videos and 914 images of child pornography, prosecutors said.
