Barricaded Man Found Dead in Palmdale ID’d

A man who barricaded himself in a residence in the Palmdale area and was found dead in the garage was publicly identified Monday.
John Egan was 54-years-old, according to the coroner’s office. An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of his death.
Deputies and a Special Weapons Team went to the 37700 block of Highland Street at 6:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a domestic dispute and tried to get the suspect to surrender, but he did not respond to multiple verbal commands, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect now identified as Egan was found dead in the garage late in the morning.
