by Contributing Editor

Authorities Sunday were looking for multiple suspects who fled a Hemet home suspected to have been used as an illegal marijuana processing site.

Deputies served a search warrant on Friday afternoon at the home in the 33000 block of Bethel Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Inside the home, they allegedly found 418 pounds of processed marijuana, 245 pounds of marijuana scraps, 170 packages of cannabis-infused edibles, 1,505 vials of liquid cannabis, a homemade and unregistered AR-15 gun and more than $14,000 in cash, sheriff’s officials said.

“During the service of the warrant, several subjects fled the property and were not apprehended,” said Orlando Castaneda.

The investigation was ongoing.
