Officer Injured On 91 Freeway In Fullerton Area

A Buena Park Police Department officer was injured this evening during an incident on the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway in the Fullerton area.

Shortly before 7 p.m., officers responded to a report of an officer down on the roadway, near the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

All westbound lanes of the 91 freeway in the area were closed for the investigation, the CHP said.

The cause of the officer’s injuries was not immediately available, but KCAL9 reported the officer was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.

Officers also were searching for a suspect in a white Nissan in relation to the incident, KCAL9 reported.
