Woman Killed in Long Beach Hit-and-Run

A 30-year old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach, authorities said Friday.

Erica Cardenas was homeless, said coroner’s Lt. David Smith.

Cardenas was struck and killed at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at 19th Street and Pacific Avenue, Smith said.

A witness told police Cardenas was struck by a vehicle that was southbound on Pacific Avenue at a high rate of speed, according to KTLA5. The driver fled the scene.
