Woman Dies in North Hollywood Shooting

A woman was shot and killed in North Hollywood Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the area of Simpson Avenue and Vanowen Street about 9:15 p.m., where they located the victim, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman had been shot in the back, KCAL9 reported.
Video from the scene showed what appeared to be evidence markers over several shell casings near a black SUV with its driver side door open.
A motive for the shooting and description of the shooter or shooters were not immediately available.
The victim’s name was not disclosed.
