A teenager was arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing four La Mirada businesses at gunpoint over a three-day period.
The 17-year-old suspect is accused of using a black handgun to demand a total of over $1,200 from the businesses, all in the area of Imperial Highway and Santa Gertrudes Avenue, between Nov. 11 and Nov. 13, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau Metro Division investigated the robberies and identified the suspect, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile.
On Tuesday, authorities arrested the suspect and served a search warrant at his home in an unincorporated area near Whittier, where they recovered a handgun and clothing used during the robbery, Schrader said.
