Bicyclist, 33, Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Fullerton

A 33-year-old bicyclist was fatally struck by a Mercedes-Benz Monday afternoon in Fullerton.

The bicyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was riding in the area of Bastanchury Road and Lancer Way about 5:45 p.m. when he was struck by the white Mercedes-Benz traveling southbound on Bastanchury Road, according to Cpt. Billy Phu of the Fullerton Police Department.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Phu said.

The driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators, and police do not believe drugs or alcohol was involved in the collision, according to Phu.
