Young Man Gunned Down in Lake Elsinore

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in Lake Elsinore, and his killer remained at large Monday.
Blake Paine of Wildomar was gunned down about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Riley Street, near Sumner Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Steve Brosche said patrol deputies were sent to the residential area to investigate reports of a shooting and discovered Paine on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. The assailant had fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where he died a short time later, according to Brosche.
No description of the shooter was available.
