One Person Killed in Vehicle-Versus-Tree Crash in Stevenson Ranch

A person died Sunday evening in a vehicle-versus-tree crash in Stevenson Ranch in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The crash happened about 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of North Verne Court and West Poe Parkway, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Martin Rangel told The Signal.
“Units on (the) scene reported one vehicle on its side. It had collided with a tree,” Rangel told the newspaper.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no immediate word yet on the gender or age of the victim, whose name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No other injuries were reported.
