Motorist Leads Authorities on Car Chase at Van Nuys Airport

A man was taken into custody Friday after leading authorities on a car chase on the grounds of Van Nuys Airport.

The man surrendered after the car apparently became disabled about 9 a.m., when it crashed through a fence. His name was not immediately available.

The chase lasted about 20 minutes, and led onto runways and taxiways.

According to Fox11, police believe the suspect breached security at a construction site near the airport grounds.
