Los Angeles County firefighters Saturday evening battled a quarter-acre brush fire in a Santa Clarita wash.

The Tourney Fire was reported after 9 p.m. at North Tourney Road and Magic Mountain Parkway, according to county fire officials.

A full “brush response” of seven engines and a helicopter were sent to battle the flames, which was in an area that was difficult to access, officials said.

The fire was out by 9:35 p.m., according to dispatch supervisor Imy McBride, of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
