Man Found Dead in Unit of Storage Facility in Hawaiian Gardens

A man in his 30s was found dead inside a unit at a storage facility in Hawaiian Gardens Thursday evening.
Deputies from the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station responded to a storage facility in the 12300 block of Carson Street, east of Norwalk Boulevard, about 6:15 p.m. after an employee informed authorities of a strong odor coming from one of the units, according to Deputy James Nagao of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel entered the unit and found the victim dead, Nagao said.
The age and name of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
