Accidental Gun Discharge Injures LA Sheriff’s Deputy

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy sustained a gunshot wound from an accidental discharge and was rushed to a hospital Friday morning.

The accident happened near the South Los Angeles station at 1310 W. Imperial Highway about 5:10 a.m., the department said.

The female deputy was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. Her name was not disclosed.
