A SWAT team was in a standoff Thursday with an armed man at a residence in Northridge, police said.

Officers were sent to the 17500 block of Raymer Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

About 5:30 a.m. Thursday, a SWAT team and a bomb squad were sent to the scene, police said.

According to Fox11, police originally went to the scene on a neighbor dispute involving loud music and the vandalism of vehicles. After daybreak, the man’s father, reportedly in his 90s, was brought out of the residence by officers, but the standoff with the armed man was continuing after 7 a.m.
