SWAT Team in Standoff With Armed Man in Northridge

A SWAT team was in a standoff Thursday with an armed man at a residence in Northridge, police said.

Officers were sent to the 17500 block of Raymer Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

About 5:30 a.m. Thursday, a SWAT team and a bomb squad were sent to the scene, police said.

According to Fox11, police originally went to the scene on a complaint of loud music. Officers were trying to determine if the man’s father, reportedly in his 90s, was in the residence with him.
