Authorities identified a 36-year-old man Wednesday who was found laying in the surf at Huntington State Beach.

The victim was identified as Kevin Bechtold of Garden Grove, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.

Bechtold was found floating in the surf at the beach, according to the coroner’s office.

He apparently drowned.
