GoFundMe Set Up For Man Found Shot to Death in Duarte

A GoFundMe page established for a man killed in what authorities believe was a gang-related shooting in Duarte was nearly halfway to its goal Saturday morning.
Juan Loera, 38, was found dead at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Goodall Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“There is no suspect information at this time,” a sheriff’s statement said. “This incident is believed to be gang-related.”
A GoFundMe page set up by Loera’s sister to help with funeral expenses had raised nearly $8,500 of its $20,000 goal as of early Saturday morning.
According to the page, Loera was a father to two girls and was “a kind-hearted and incredibly funny man.”
