Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Hit-And-Run in Westlake Area; Suspect Sought

A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run in the Westlake area, and the motorist was being sought.

The person was injured about 4:30 a.m. at Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street and died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a white pickup truck. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
