Authorities ID Body of Man Found in Ocean in HB

Authorities Wednesday released the identity of a man whose body was found off the Huntington Beach Pier on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Dylan Haihuu Duong, according to Sgt. Dennis Breckner of the Orange County Coroner’s Division of the Sheriff’s Department.

Swimmers found Duong’s body at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday a half-mile south of the pier. They reported it to lifeguards, who brought the body to shore, Breckner said.

Investigators were awaiting toxicology results to determine the cause of death.
