Man Dies in Solo-Vehicle Crash in Carson

A man died in a solo-car crash Saturday in Carson.

The vehicle crashed into a light pole at the intersection of South Wilmington Avenue and Glenn Curtiss Street about 2:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was taken to Harbor General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the CHP said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin. His age was not immediately available.

No other people were injured, the CHP said.

The crash remained under investigation.
