WINNETKA — A fire damaged a one-story house Thursday in Winnetka.
The blaze was reported on the 7900 block of Limerick Avenue about 10:40 a.m. and was extinguished in 20 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters rescued the sole occupant of the residence, and paramedics were medically evaluating the person at the scene, the LAFD reported.
During overhaul operations, about an hour after the blaze was extinguished, one firefighter suffered a minor injury that was not life-threatening, the fire department reported.
Paramedics on scene evaluated the firefighter and determined that he didn’t need to go to the hospital.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
