Santa Ana Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Teenage

A 27-year-old Santa Ana man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old relative while the girl’s mother was at work.
Andres Mota-Gonzalez was arrested on Monday and is being held on $100,000 bail pending arraignment, which was rescheduled for Aug. 12 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.
Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna alleged that after the girl’s mother went to work July 20 and he was left alone with the teen, the defendant sexually assaulted her numerous times against her will.
The defendant is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, oral copulation of a person younger than 14, sodomy by force of a victim younger than 14, sodomy by future threat to retaliate, and lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
