Person Found Dead at Scene of Fire in Garage in Burbank

A person was found dead Monday at the scene of a garage fire in Burbank.
Firefighters were sent to the 500 block of North Parish Place at 3:10 a.m., said Burbank police Sgt. Derek Green.
“When crews arrived, they found a single-story garage fully involved with fire,” Green said. “Firefighters worked quickly to attack the fire and limit its spread to nearby homes and structures.”
The fire was extinguished in about a half-hour, Green said.
“While performing a search during the fire attack, firefighters discovered a deceased person inside of the garage,” Green said.
Information on the identity or cause of death of the person was not immediately available. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
