Man Killed in Fairfax Community of Los Angeles

A man, approximately 20 to 30 years old, was fatally shot during a verbal and physical altercation with another man around the same age in the Fairfax community of Los Angeles, a police officer said Saturday.
The shooting occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday near the area of Oakwood and La Brea avenues, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
Paramedics took the shooting victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No further details about the altercation were released.
