Man Fatally Wounded in Florence Area of Los Angeles

A 53-year-old man was fatally wounded Saturday in an alley in the Florence area of Los Angeles.

The man was standing in the mouth of the alley in the 600 block of East 81st Street at about 12:35 a.m. when he was shot by an unknown suspect, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
