Man Shot in Palm Springs, Suspect at Large

A gunshot victim who was found unconscious in his car early Tuesday was hospitalized in critical condition, and Palm Springs police asked for the public’s help in tracking down the shooter.
Police dispatch received a call about 12:30 a.m. from the man saying he was shot near Tramview Road and North Indian Canyon Drive, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Responding officers found the man, whose name was withheld, seated in his car but unconscious and suffering from at least one gunshot wound. They summoned paramedics, who rushed him to an area hospital.
Indian Canyon, between Racquet Club Road and Via Olivera, was closed for a time to allow police to conduct their investigation.
