City Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez proposed Tuesday that a $50,000 reward be authorized for information that helps solve the killing of a 26-year-old man in Pacoima.
Davon Pledger of Van Nuys was standing in front of a home in the 13200 block of Cornelius Street on May 9 at 10:45 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan drove up and a passenger and the driver jumped out, police said. The duo fired several shots, got into the sedan and drove away in an unknown direction.
Officers arrived to find Pledger on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The reward motion will be considered next week by the full Los Angeles City Council.
