Man in 70s Apparenty Homicide Victim in South L.A.

Police officers conducting a welfare check early Saturday found a man believed in his 70s dead from an apparent homicide in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
The discovery was made at 5:16 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 22nd Street, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The victim had suffered injuries consistent with homicide, Cervantes said. The exact nature of the injuries was not available.
It was unknown if the homicide was gang related, she said.
