Officers Search For Suspect Around Castaic Days Inn

Officers searched for a pursuit suspect Friday evening after a chase ended outside a Days Inn in Castaic.

During the chase, the woman drove on the wrong side of the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway, forcing officers to terminate the pursuit, according to broadcast reports.

The car was later found outside a Days Inn in the 31000 block of Castaic Road, and witnesses said the woman banged on the doors of hotel rooms trying to find a place to hide, according to KCAL9. The owner of the car is wanted on a $2 million warrant.

Further information was not immediately available from the California Highway Patrol.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is assisting the CHP, according to Deputy James Nagao.
