Suspect Arrested in Pomona Homicide

A Hemet man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Pomona man, authorities said Monday.
Raymond Leonard Rice, 31, was arrested for suspicion of homicide early Sunday at a Hemet residence after the Pomona police SWAT team served a search warrant there, Sgt. Iain Miller said.
The 29-year-old victim was fatally wounded about 5:15 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Las Vegas Avenue, Miller said. A family member drove the victim to Pomona Valley Medical Center where he died from his wounds, the sergeant said.
The motive for the shooting and the victim’s name were not released.
