Broken water main floods Porter Ranch street

by City News Service

PORTER RANCH — Repair crews worked Thursday morning to fix a busted water main that flooded a street in Porter Ranch but did not affect water service to homes in the area.

The break was reported in the 18200 block of Bermuda Street, near Etiwanda Avenue, about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokesman.

Crews were able to stop the water flow in about 45 minutes, and work began to repair the main and determine what caused the break, Salzman said.

No homes were affected, but a stretch of Bermuda Street was flooded.
