Two Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Yorba Linda on 91 Freeway

A man and woman died Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway at the Foothill Transportation (241) Corridor in Yorba Linda, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Orange County coroner’s office.
The crash occurred a little after 3:25 a.m., with one vehicle described as a gray sedan and the other as an SUV, authorities said.
The two victims, identified by the Orange County coroner’s office, as a 94-year-old woman, Francisca Solis of Anaheim and 70-year-old Trinidad Solis of Selma, CA. Both were passengers in the SUV, the coroner’s office reported. Their relationship was not immediately known.
They were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where they both died about an hour later, according to the coroner’s office.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the CHP.
