Man killed after walking onto 170 Freeway in NoHo

A man was fatally struck Sunday night by a vehicle after he walked into lanes on the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood, authorities said.

It happened about 9 p.m. on the southbound side at Burbank Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

It was unclear why he was on the freeway.
