Police Search for Stolen Vehicle Suspect Who Fled On Foot in Glendale

by Contributing Editor

Police Friday searched for a stolen vehicle suspect who fled the car on foot after a brief police chase in Glendale.

The short pursuit started about 3:20 p.m. near Los Olivos Lane and Lauderdale Avenue, and ended 10 minutes later in a crash near the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Honolulu Avenue, but no one was injured, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department.

The suspect fled the vehicle southbound on Lowell Avenue, which goes under the Foothill (210) Freeway and up into some hills, Suttles said.

Officers have established a perimeter, and at 5:30 p.m. Friday were still searching for the suspect. They are being aided by canine units and helicopter support, according to Suttles.
