Man Shot to Death on Riverside’s East End

A 33-year-old man was gunned down in Riverside’s Eastside neighborhood, and his killer remains at large.

Emanuel Reggie Herrera of Riverside was shot about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the area of 12th Street and Victoria Avenue, according to Riverside police Officer Ryan Railsback.

Herrera was walking through the area when he was possibly ambushed, Railback said. Patrol officers were called to the location to investigate reports of gunfire and found the victim lying on the street. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body.

Herrera was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, gathering evidence, but no suspects were immediately identified.
