San Diego County sheriff’s deputies were searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank branch Friday while wearing a curly white wig, a county Sheriff’s Department officer said.
The robbery was reported at 1:30 p.m. at 1091 S. Mission Road, sheriff’s Lt. William Amavisca said.
The suspect handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and handed over an unspecified amount of money, Amavisca said.
The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a bald white man between 55 and 65 years old, standing 5 feet 10 tall, with a slim build. Along with the wig, the suspect was wearing a gray shirt, gray slacks and black tie.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call San Diego Crime Stoppers at 1-888-580-8477.
