Two Arrested, Two Cited at Illegal Cannabis Dispensary in Azusa

Two woman suspected of running an illegal cannabis dispensary in Azusa were arrested Thursday morning.

Officers served a search warrant at the business in the 300 block of North Azusa Avenue and took the two women into custody and gave citations to two other adults at the location, according to Sgt. Nick Covarrubias of the Azusa Police Department. The exact time the warrant was served was not disclosed by police.

A search of the business turned up a firearm, approximately 38 pounds of cannabis and cannabis products and about $2,300 in cash, Covarrubias said.

The sale of cannabis or cannabis products is banned in Azusa.
