West Hollywood deputies involved in Studio City shooting

by Josh Cain

Sheriff’s deputies were involved in a shooting at a home in Studio City early Thursday that drew numerous police to the area and led to street closures.

The shooting occurred at around 7:45 a.m. in the 11500 block of Dona Teresa Drive.

The circumstances of the shooting were not clear.

Deputy Morgan Areaga, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, said she did not know whether there were any injuries.

On Twitter, the Sheriff’s Department said the scene was still “active,” and that residents should stay away.

There was no information Thursday morning about whether a deputy or a suspect fired their weapon. The deputies involved in the shooting were from the West Hollywood station, Areaga said.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
