Minor Killed, Man Wounded, in Shooting North of Riverside

A minor was killed and man wounded in a shooting in the unincorporated Riverside County community of High Grove, authorities said Saturday morning.
Deputies responded at 6:20 p.m. Thursday to the 1300 block of Center Street and located the two victims. The minor boy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Rick Espinoza of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The department initially reported there were three gunshot victims, but clarified Friday there were only two victims.
The other victim suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s department reported.
No arrests were reported.
The shooting was under investigation by the sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit and anyone with information about this shooting was asked to call Central Homicide Investigator Mendoza at 760-393-3526 or 951-955-2777.
