Lowe fire near Altadena is 75% contained

The Lowe fire that broke out Sunday, Sept. 22, in the Angeles National Forest above Altadena charred 10 and a half acres and was 75 percent contained by Monday.

The fire has not damaged any structures and no one has been injured, according to Kelsha Anderson, a spokeswoman for the Angeles National Forest.

She said Millard campground, Mt. Lowe campground and Mt. Lowe truck trail remain closed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The blaze started around 3:30 p.m. Sunday near Loma Alta and Chaney Trails.

About 100 firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service, two helicopters and an airplane were fighting the fire on Monday.
