Three people suspected of burglarizing a Norco home and running up charges on the homeowner’s stolen credit cards were arrested, and two of them remain behind bars Saturday.
Raelynn Lee Kruse, 40; Leopoldo Lopez, 30; and Justin Henry Sorg, 35, all Riverside residents, were taken into custody Thursday on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and identity theft, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Lopez was also booked for probation violations and is being held without bail at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, while Kruse is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside. Sorg posted a $35,000 bond Friday and was released from custody.
Monday afternoon, the trio allegedly forced their way into a house in the 1900 block of Norco Drive, just west of Interstate 15, ransacked the property and carried off a number of items, including credit cards, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Elia.
A residential security surveillance camera captured the suspects on video as they left the location, Elia said, adding that shortly after the homeowner reported the break-in, deputies learned the stolen charge cards had been used in Fontana. Investigators tracked the suspects down in Riverside two days later, and during a search of their possessions, found some of the stolen goods.
The suspects were taken into custody without incident.
