Homeless woman found dead in Van Nuys is identified

VAN NUYS — Authorities Wednesday identified a homeless woman who was found dead of apparent natural causes in Van Nuys.

The body of Leticia Gonzalez was discovered about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday near a vehicle on the 7300 block of Ranchito Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

She would have turned 39 on Thursday, the coroner’s office reported. An autopsy was pending.
