by City News Service

WOODLAND HILLS — Strong winds and red flag fire weather conditions prompted the closure Wednesday morning of roads in Woodland Hills and Topanga until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Mulholland Drive and Pacific Coast Highway and Old Topanga Canyon Road between Mulholland Drive and Topanga Canyon Boulevard were closed, according to a tweet from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lost Hills Station.

Wind gusts could reach 80 mph Wednesday, and a red flag warning was in effect for Los Angeles County until 6 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
