Homicide Detectives Investigating Woman’s Death In Palmdale

A woman died and a man was hospitalized in critical condition in what authorities investigated Tuesday evening as a murder and attempted suicide in Palmdale.
Deputies responded to a call of an assault that had just occurred at an apartment in the 1700 block of East Avenue Q-14, near 17th Street East, about 3:05 p.m. and the victim wasn’t breathing, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Once inside the apartment, deputies found a woman in her late-20s and a man in his mid-20s unresponsive. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the department said.
The man is considered a suspect in the assault, which detectives investigated as a murder and attempted suicide, according to the LASD.
The names of the suspect or victim were not disclosed.
