Authorities Thursday identified one of two men killed when their car crashed into a tree in Baldwin Park after colliding with another vehicle.

The crash occurred at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.

Jorge Lizarraga, 18, of Baldwin Park and a man in his 20s died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and Baldwin Park police. The older man’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

“When officers arrived, they determined two vehicles had collided with one another, and subsequently, one of the vehicles also collided with a tree on the median strip,” according to a police statement.

No one was hurt in the other vehicle, police said.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation, and anyone with information was urged to call Baldwin Park police at 626-960-1955, ext. 440.
