A woman who got into a collision on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Agua Dulce Wednesday told authorities she was being followed by a car containing three men, one of whom brandished a firearm, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified woman, alone in her car, said she was being chased southbound on the 14 Freeway about 10:30 a.m. when one of the men waved a handgun, causing her to veer into another vehicle just north of Escondido Canyon Road, according to CHP Sgt. Zack Emmons.
Her car spun out and hit a raised curb in the center divider before overturning, but she escaped with minor injuries, Emmons said. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The vehicle that she hit sustained minor damage, the sergeant said.
The woman said she did not know the three men, and officers do not have any of the suspects in custody but have some leads they are following, according to Emmons.
“It may have been a road rage incident, we’re not sure at the moment,” Emmons said.
