Porn actress Jessica Jaymes found dead in her North Hills home

Adult film actress Jessica Redding, better known by her stage name Jessica Jaymes, was found dead in her North Hills home on Tuesday, Sept. 17, officials said. She was 40.
A 911 caller reported a patient suffering from cardiac arrest at her residence on the 9000 block of Hayvenhurst Avenue at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said Wednesday. Police and paramedics responded but Redding was pronounced dead at about 4:20 p.m., before she could be taken to a hospital.

Los Angeles Police Officer Tony Im said investigators did not find reason to suspect foul play. An autopsy to determine her cause of death was pending Wednesday evening.

Redding was born in Alaska on March 8, 1979, and began working in porn in 2002, People reported. She became Hustler Video’s first contract model in 2004, before going on to co-found an adult film production company, Spizoo, in 2008. She was recognized for her contributions to her industry and inducted into the Adult Video News Hall of fame in 2018.
“She was the most kind and generous person you could ever meet,” a Spizoo representative said Wednesday in a Tweet mourning her death. “Creative and energetic, real and honest, a true star.”
The model and actress also made several appearances in mainstream television. She played a small role on Weeds, was a guest on The Howard Stern Show, and appeared on on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab Sober House and HBO’s Vivid Valley, People reported.
